Noon, Day Two, and the Sun’s Still Shining!

Okay, boys and girls. It’s Noon, on Day Two of My Year Without Complaining.  I don’t mean to brag, but I made it!  Made it through my first day!

I’m thinking that’s not a major accomplishment.  This is especially true since I spent most of the day reading, answering personal email, and eating chocolate.  No complaints about any of that!

This morning, I appeared as appointed counsel for a 15-year-old girl with a 4-month old baby, whose mother (keep up: the mother of the 15-year-old girl with the 4-month old baby, that is) has been incarcerated since April, leaving the 15-year-old and her siblings without heat, electricity, water or food.

I left court feeling humbled, grateful, and without a single reason to complain.  I realized that I am on the greener side of the fence.

So….I think I’ll show you some of the reasons that I’ve decided to have a wonderful life, starting with my husband. Here he is, looking a bit dorky, with his lovely daughter Cara:

Stay tuned:  I’ll keep you posted as to my progress, on Day 2 of my Year Without Complaining.  Until we meet again — Keep smiling!
